First Paying Student

I’m only in Green Park that has been continuing with Chinese friends so it was easy for others to notice me. I don’t know what people think about me or about my friends from China. Some people said me they like my Tai Chi movements. A person, more than 50 years, has  sometimes asked me to teach him Tai Chi but I took his words not seriously. When he suggested me to start a class and he would like to be my first paying-student, I agreed happily.
Next day, at decided time I reached at the park and he was six minutes late.

I asked him if he wants to learn without pay or would like to pay my fees?

I said 500/- rupees for 45 minutes session, per day, and he would learn 24 within 5-7 days, and rest 20 days will be for practicing.

Maybe, he misunderstood my words and thought I would charge 500/- per day for entire the month while my fees would be for 7 days only. Rest 20 days practice would be free. Initial 7 days I would ask him to be continue and and sincere.

He said he would give me 5000/- for entire the month.

I said – OK.

But,

Happened what,

We started the class. And after some movements he found Tai Chi is too difficult for him. He thought me doing Tai Chi movements are smooth and easy but he realized too difficult and said – ‘Shekhar, I think I need to study it more then I should come to you again.’

I said – OK

I suggested him to watch videos also.

And this is how I lost my first paying student. My commercial class has been stopped before starting.
I think, I’m not good for teaching. Some people say me a good teacher but this example and experience was not good for me as Tai Chi teacher.
Another lady wanted to learn and after some classes she left. She also said me that she would give some fees but she never came back.
I feel, they like to see me doing Tai Chi, they feel it is easy and relaxing exercise, for body and mind but it is difficult when it comes to do for them.

..or I’m not good person to teach these people.
I don’t have any other options. Teaching Tai Chi would be another option. I’m hesitant to ask people for fees. This time I asked openly and student left.

My Master!

I really feel, I’m far better than all those who are governed and moved by their emotions and thoughts, ..and I have got this after Knowing The Master.

Maybe, TaiChi also has some role in it.

*

Master is neither good nor bad, neither wise nor stupid, it’s my reflection.

*

When the Cherokee told the story of two wolves fighting inside, grandchild was curious to know about winning wolf. Grandfather preached The Master.

*

Angel and Satan sitting on shoulders maybe story for children. Master is always there.

*

No-one I see without Master.

*

I know, I Have Got The Way!

*

They may say, they brought me to the Master. Of course, without them I would not be introduced to The Master, but it was The Master itself who got me them too. I’m thankful to friends.

*

Master is not outside but always inside me. What I see outside is reflection of my Master.

Master Knows

Ta – What are Doors to receive informations from outside world?
Wo – Doors for getting information from outside world are –

Eyes

Ears

Nose

Tongue

Skin

Chinese philosophy doesn’t include Skin in Five Senses. Rather they accept Consciousness, Intellect, Ability to Judge Right and Wrong. Indian philosophies recognize it as Sixth Sense. Western people misunderstand it with Intuitions. Dreams, Imaginations, Hypothesis, are not the main controller, the Master. All Indian philosophies even Charwaka accepted Sixth Sense as Swa Vivek, Intellect.
Ta – The Master, seems helpless, handicapped without Senses.
Wo – Here I have something not clear for me. Of course, without Senses, the Master is helpless to receive informations from outside world. But we should know that the Master knows everything. It may know something without Senses. It may also know something which is beyond the limits of our senses.
Ta – What is not clear in that.
Wo – Master seems, handicapped without Senses. But it also seems knowing all senses jobs too. Maybe your eyes cannot see something but The Master knows and informs you.
Ta – Intuitions?
Wo – It’s misunderstood with that, I have already said above.
Ta – If they don’t accept skin, or touch as a sense, how do they get information about hot and cold?
Wo – Actually, Chinese ancient people assumed that Eyebrows are the fifth sense. But it was wrong. South Asian philosophers believe skin as one of five senses are also wrong. It’s the Master who knows everything. He feels that hot or cold. He is the one who receives informations, analysis, synthesis and orders too.
Ta – Is that like Jeeva in Jain Philosophy?
Wo – Jeeva also has similarities with consciousness. Jeeva is a mixted concept of onsciousness, atman, Intellect, praana. Master is similar but not that.
Ta – Is that always in heaven?
Wo – No. There are different levels of mind. The heart experiences different feelings emerged by information from outside world or thoughts. If experiences are because of thoughts, that also either from inside or outside world. If Master is stronger than senses, it’s in heaven. If senses are out of control, or Master is under influence of one or more senses, it  definitely experiences the hall.
Ta – Seems that heaven and hell are state of mind.
Wo – All heaven and hell we read in books are imagination by our ancient people. It’s their way to tell us what and how they thought about results of good and bad.
Ta – Good and Bad also can be just results of our mind. One doesn’t like to chew tobacco and other likea to chew and smok it.
Wo – Result decides.
Ta – Is there always Cause-Action-Result ?
Wo – Sometimes it’s opposite of it and sometimes all three are at the same time.
Ta – Where is Master here? Doer, the one creating Causes or the one who experiences the Result?
Wo – The one, who observes the chain, without getting involved in process.

Children To Learn Tai Chi

Ta – When should I send my 3 years old son?
Wo – ….Where?
Ta – To learn Tai Chi.
Wo – When he is able to understand.
Ta – …His understanding is much better than you. Got it?
Wo – …if you wanted to humiliate me than it’s different thing but for your question, I have answered already.
*
Who would teach him Tai Chi?

Na, I would not.

I feel, children are difficult to teach Tai Chi. Their energy is uncontrollable and they are not focused if they are not interesting in something.
Parents don’t know what their children want to do or be. Parents wants their children to learn everything, painting, music, writing, dancing, acting, and later they want them to become doctors, engineers, civil servants. Parents are not father and mother. Parents are people who impose their unfulfilled desires on children and want children to do everything.
I think, children below 8-10 years are difficult to teach Tai Chi. If they are above 10 years and still not interested in learning, I would not like to drag them into Tai Chi.
A 15 years old boy was my student. He was in 11th standard. His father asked me to teach him Tai Chi. I found him not interested in learning. His father also used to practice with us so that his son would be encouraged but I saw no progress in the son. He used not to listen my words, his eyes were somewhere else when I was teaching him. Finally, I had to tell his father that his son is not interested and I could not spend my time on him.
Maybe, my processe or method of teaching is not good, it might be very boring but because I was not changing any fee, I could not spend time on someone not interested in learning.
Tai Chi is good if one feels the rhythm.

Helpful Tai Chi

Rudeness in talking comes,

if one is disturbed,

Unsatisfied inside.
It’s important to know

If you are rude or your way of talking is rude.

Maybe you have not achieved that what you have been expecting to.

Your dissatisfaction with what you have earned in your life

Also makes you doing what you do, how you do.

Karma, or all other factors are also there.

Family, friends, surrounding or loneliness makes one careless about society.

Carefreeness is actually frustration towards people and society.
Then politeness come like helplessness.

You are not dominating because you don’t dare to order people.

You are no authoritative.
In that case,

You are

Defeated!

Lost!!

Almost Dead!!!
*
Tai Chi helps to deal with all this.

Tai Chi helps to know the formless, nameless, thoughtless, emotionless.

The light is there with

No emotions,

No thoughts,

No names,

No forms.

You find yourself with everything.

All material things are there with their real look.

All forms are results of that formlessness.

And suddenly you are caged again in projected reality –

And you find that you are not free yet!

Tai Chi : Meditation!

Ta – Sorry I’m late.. I was doing meditation.
Wo – It’s ok. You can join now.
Ta – Have you finished?
Wo – Almost.
Ta – Am.. ok.
(After few minutes)
Ta – Don’t you do meditation? I know you do Tai Chi that’s also meditation.. but that, to sit and medicate.. you don’t do?
Wo – We are in modern time. That way of meditation was used by ancient time that was suitable for them, to go mountain, to sit continue for days. I do meditation. I do Tai Chi, but also, meditation for this time is not only in Sitting, but also Eating, Walking, Talking, Sleeping, too. I do meditation. It’s not like to go to toilet for 10 minutes every morning and come out. It’s always with breathing, with movement, with eys, and in all their combination.

Ta – What are benefits of Tai Chi?
Wo – Don’t be greedy!
Ta – Why do you do Tai Chi then?
Wo – I enjoy!
Ta – Why should I do Tai Chi?
Wo – Search on internet!

Eyes are Horizontal, Nose is Vertical

Wo – I’m leaving.. Going to tell the Truth!
Ta – Have you got that?
Wo – Yes, I have.
Ta – What are you going to teach them?
Wo – ..that Everyone of us is a Buddha, Everyone of us has a Holy Cross, and Eyes are Horizontal & Nose is Vertical.
Ta – The first thing everyone knows, little confused with Atman concept of Vedanta, right? Second one will be misunderstood like you are promoting Christianity, and the third is what everyone knows ‘eyes are horizontal and nose is vertical’ ..nothing is new in the Truth you have found.
Wo – Truth is constant. If you are looking for something new will be new words, or new way of interpretation. All indications are for the same.
Ta – All symbols, words, interpretations, books are indicating towards the Truth you have got?
Wo – Yes.
Ta – ..that ‘eyes are horizontal and nose is vertical?’
Wo – Yes.
Ta – How is it possible?
Wo – Because, ‘water is softest and weakest thing under the sky, and so weaker can defeats the stronger.’
Ta – Weak person can’t defeat stronger taller person than him.
Wo – You could understand what I mean if you had studied Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism.
Ta – You are an Existentialist too, and your Sartre doesn’t talk rubbish. He was no doubt a knowledgeable person. Ok, both of Krishnamurtis also were having better underpinnings that they didn’t talk like this.
Wo – They definitely had better mind than me but they also said what I’m going to teach about.
Ta – ..that ‘eyes are horizontal and nose is vertical?’
Wo – Exactly.
Ta – Eh!
Wo – If everyone knows that, they will understand the Buddha inside them, they will find their Holy Cross too.
